I've been reading a brilliant book about autism in girls and know that helping my dd understand herself better is key to ensuring she is well supported to navigate the difficult times in her life. I want her to know she's not broken, she is brilliant, but also recognise the difficulties she can sometimes have, the impact it has on her wellbeing and support her to navigate those things.
I'm looking for two book recommendations please: 1. To help me explain autism to her (a book aimed at parents of autistic people, dos and don'ts sort of thing). 2. A book aimed at autistic children (8yo age range) which i can read with her.
Thank you for reading, all suggestions welcome!
