Hi, does anyone have any personal experience of sleep scotland?. My 8 year old boy is on the waiting list for a sleep clinic and I wondered what it was like?. The website is good but would like to hear from others who have used it.

My son has been diagnosed with a Asd and is really bad at sleeping and wakes during the night and we have three other children who get disturbed but they have no sleep problems.

Hi yummymummy4

I don't have experience yet........

My ds is 6 and is also possibly AS. His sleep is terrible too and he wakes every night.Luckily my 2 dd's are fantastic sleepes and rarely wake up through him. Even when he had a major rage/sleepwalk disturbance that lasted 30 mins one , the girls didn't hear a thing! bless.
We are also waiting for an appointment with the sleep clinic. I must admit i am not hugely convinced they are going to have the anwsers but we are willing to try anything!

Hi, thanks for the reply. I know what you meen about trying everything, though I think that things like this sound good on paper butare totally different trying them for real. The anger management worksheets (totally different issue) are of no real help so far but we will keep trying.

I worry that my son will not take well to more intervention it might have been ok if he was younger but he hates all the professionals now.

I will let you know how we get on if we get seen soon (fingers crossed)
