EHCP draft during Christmas holidays?

Hello, I’ve recently won my daughter’s case at tribunal, and the LA have been ordered to issue an EHCP, with the draft being sent out within 5 weeks.

Obviously it’s the Christmas Holidays soon, so will that delay the 5 week deadline? Can only find information about the Summer Holidays online!

There’s no exemption to the timescales because of Christmas.

If you are due to receive the draft just before or during the Christmas period and you wish to use a solicitor/advocate/SOSSEN, etc. for a draft check, you can request an extension to the 15 days to comment on the draft. You can do that now.

Thank you so much for a reply. Bit of a stupid question but - when I receive the draft, if there’s things I don’t agree with or want to add on, do I just write next to each section and send it back?

There’s no set was of making your representations. You can do it however you want. Some people use the working document key. Some people add comment boxes or footnotes. Some make a separate list. Some people make handwritten notes/highlighted sections.
