My DS1 has dyspraxia, he is now in YR 8 and he has just come home with a reply from his form tutor about the fact he is falling behind in his writing in all classes. At his last tutor/parent meeting, we discussed this and said that in his paperwork that it was suggested that he has a laptop for his written work. She said that she would talk to SENCO about it, but in the mean time that we were to encourage my son to practice handwriting, which we are doing. Her reply to the fact that he is still falling behind due to his handwriting was this. "Well write quicker!" We have told her on many occasions that his handwriting gets worse the quicker he writes, for which he then gets into trouble. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
