DLA extra information or not?

We currently receive DLA for my DD, middle rate care and low rate mobility. This was initially for a two year period, I'm assuming due to age and because she wasn't diagnosed with anything.

Yesterday she received a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and in the 6th percentile for Dyspraxia so just above the percentile for an actual diagnosis. Nothing has changed for us care wise since putting in the initial form.

But should I be getting in touch and sending the report to them? Or am I best waiting for when we are due to renew December 2025?

DLA is based on needs, not diagnosis. If the award is still accurate and only thing that has changed is DD now has a diagnosis, you don’t need to inform DLA/send the diagnostic reports. Whereas, if the award was no longer accurate, you would need to inform DWP of a change of circumstances.

If needs are the same just file it for when you need to renew.
