My DN is concerned as her six and a half year old behaves socially and emotionally like a five and a half/ six year old, should they seek specialist help?

What are the differences she perceives between a 5 year old and a 6 year old?

If DN is concerned she should speak to the school, GP &/or school nursing service. However, being 6mnths-1yr ‘behind’ can be within the normal developmental range.

Does she mean that she seems a little out of step with her peers.

The first thing I'd suggest, but only if they're asking first help, is this simple progress checker. We can offer some suggestions if it says that she needs some support.

Is there a particular aspect of her behaviour that your DN is struggling with? Flowers

I’m not sure but I think it’s DC social emotional development
