I think it's the wait that makes it worse. MR's are taking 25 weeks... if it wasn't so painful even 8 weeks total wait then it would be less to dread!

Yes! I was fine (ish) until week 16 started. Now I'm a bloody wreck, especially as people have been awarded for my date but not me!

@Saweetiee are you calling again?

@mamof3darlings, thank you! 💐

mamof3darlings · 02/09/2024 11:03

I am now waiting for UC to sort it out 🤣 they’ve verified it that all so far xx

Honestly I don’t know ! This is the 20th week for me and from my date 17/04 and after I’ve seen loads of awards I want to call but keep getting the same answer “just to wait” it’s so daunting 🫣 . I feel the same way ! I thought It was gonna be 15-17 weeks and it looks like 20-25 for me 😮‍💨

Ellejkjlljhb · 02/09/2024 11:16

Just went to ring and hung up because it said if your claime is more than 20 weeks press 2 ! Is it really taking 20 weeks I'm week 16 and was hoping to hear something soon 🙄 my anxiety's shot ! I need to get her a disability buggy ASAP for nursery and getting her out and about

You can get them for free off the hospital, I did for my youngest xx

I thought cases get escalated once they've reached the 20 week mark?

I ignore it too. The letter says 15, so after that they shouldn't complain! 🤣

Ellejkjlljhb · 02/09/2024 11:25

@mamof3darlings I've tried talking to health visitor and she said I'd be better of buying one as she's only 2 and half referal might get refused she's very tall and in 4-5 clothes she likes to sit sideways in her stroller and her feet still touch the ground she won't use the foot rest and she won't walk 😪

Cassiex · 02/09/2024 11:30

Finally my daughter's turn 🙌 she was awarded MRC 🙌
Scan date 19/4
Just want to know how I go about putting in my universal credit?
I work 24hrs PW will this affect me being able to claim the disability element?
Any help will be appreciated
Xx

It's only carer's allowance affected by how much you work. You can get the disability element without claiming CA.

Somebody has a handy photo, but I believe you go into your journal and report a change for your daughter. Hopefully it's logical after that (I don't claim UC, I just know from here).

And congratulations! Were you awarded today?

@Vicclou ive got the same scan date of 21/05 - I was told on the phone that 8/10 latest for a decision as that would take it to 20 weeks and then I could get it escalated if nothing decided by then. Hoping it won’t take that long! X

I’ve just got off the phone with them now told me the exact same thing, said 20 weeks is maximum should take.

gonna be a long 5 weeks from now 🫣

xx

VP2024 · 02/09/2024 12:09

@Vicclou I’ve actually had two really lovely people on the phone as I called last week to ask about sending in some extra bits. I think I got lucky because I’ve seen some haven’t had some nice interactions when calling. I’ll update if I hear anything before then, hopefully it doesn’t take the full 20 weeks, the wait times are crazy. Xx

To be fair, I haven’t really spoke to anyone unpleasant.

likewise I will keep you updated, hopefully we hear something soon

xx

NoWordForFluffy · 02/09/2024 12:19

The two people I've spoken to sounded fed up / bored, but were perfectly pleasant!

I got asked to confirm my address about 50 times on Thursday though. God knows why!

Helloitsmeoverhere · 02/09/2024 13:03

Our scan date is 09/04 and we're still waiting to hear. I called last week when we were exactly 20 weeks and was told it could take till the end of September (25 weeks) and to call back in 2 weeks time to check.

Busymumofthreexo · 02/09/2024 13:36

SD 03/05. Rung today asked if with DM yet, said its in the right department but couldn't say if it's been assigned to anyone as of yet as they don't have that information. Good luck to everyone still waiting 🤞

I work part time and claim all elements already. We are just not entitled to careers allowance but if your wage is less than £128ish (estimated) a month you can still claim. Report change of circumstances to UC, I had to chase as I don’t have a work coach so if you haven’t got updates in journal after a week give them a call x

Hi Everyone

I have been a silent watcher of this thread for a while. My sons scan date is 21/05 although requested the forms end of march. The anxiety of waiting is just so horrific. I’m now on week 15 of the wait.
anyone else with a similar scan date??

it’s just such a lengthy process isn’t it, I applied for pip for my daughter at the same time, and she got a decision probably within 4-5 weeks, so the time frame difference is crazy.

good luck to everyone

My sons scan date is 18th so very close x
