17/04 - 20weeks ! Nothing and called on Thursday & the man told me there will be no timescales and it’s not with dm 🫤🤷🏽‍♀️

That's weird, as I've been told both times I've called that I should definitely call back if it's not done by 20 weeks (I assume because they then flag it being late). I do wish they'd all stick to the same script.

Honestly !! He was like “could be 2 more weeks could be 4 more weeks I don’t know but it can’t be rushed” 🫤🫤🫤 . So basically in the same position as if I hadn’t called . Confused and impatient . What’s your scan date if you don’t mind ? I truly feel like I’m the earliest date on here ☹️ that’s not got an answer . Is anybody 17/04 or earlier still waiting ?

@CyanFawn Thanks for your input on this situation 👍 maybe you should apply for a job within the DLA Department, I'm sure you would be most successful x

She is giving advice that you asked for. Your child is still young so sleeping with them is not totally unheard. Lack of sleep is not necessarily equivalent to HRC it’s the child need supervision and night time needs. The author in the post is correct your child needs to have significant care needs to qualify. Them needing to sleep in your bed and are sound asleep is not extra care needs. You should ask for some professional advice. Please don’t waste GP and sleep clinic resources to prove your child can’t sleep. That is very ridiculous as you are only doing it for the claim.

I sent the forms off at the beginning of August. Not received a letter from them but when they called up they said they got the forms on 14th August. Is it an issue that I don't have the letter?

It can take 3-5 weeks to receive it depends, mine took about 4 weeks to receive my letter back in March when my scan date was 5/02, hope that helps

Good morning all,

I've been following this thread for a while so thought I'd finally make a post.
SD 09/05 so it's getting closer to an answer.
My daughter is currently awaiting an EHCP (32 weeks and counting!), we're currently going through a section 21 no fault eviction and now the worry of her being accepted is setting in.
My 10 year old has ASD, SPD and anxiety, lots of supporting evidence so I'm quite hopeful (I know she's entitled and I hope I don't need to fight more than I already have for her rights!).
She did receive LRC in 2020/2021 but I was late with the renewal as my brother suddenly passed away. Once I finally got around to it, my forms went walk abouts and I just gave up!
It's hard work so I just wanted to introduce myself and I'm wishing everyone good news in the coming weeks!
Also, for those of you with children returning to school this week, I hope it goes smoothly! :) x

Bakerv · 02/09/2024 10:03

Scan date 14th may hopefully not much longer!

Vicclou · 02/09/2024 10:06

Hi Everyone

I have been a silent watcher of this thread for a while. My sons scan date is 21/05 although requested the forms end of march. The anxiety of waiting is just so horrific. I’m now on week 15 of the wait.
anyone else with a similar scan date??

it’s just such a lengthy process isn’t it, I applied for pip for my daughter at the same time, and she got a decision probably within 4-5 weeks, so the time frame difference is crazy.

good luck to everyone

Morning!

Are you ringing this week, @HangryLimeBeaker?

Maria1988rob · 02/09/2024 10:24

Scan date 18/06/24. This wait is horrible 😞

Morning!

Are you ringing this week, @HangryLimeBeaker?

I'm on the phone now but only because I sent in a paed report and they told me last week to send it in and they'll try and get it with the DM. Just on hold about it but I did cheekily ask if an award has been made yet and she said no 😂. What about you? xx

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 02/09/2024 10:33

Dunno. Scared to call in case it's a no! 😬 I know me ringing doesn't change anything, but I'd rather a written no than a verbal one! 🙈🤣

I spoke to a different department and they've sent my a case manager details and tracking number which she can request to be uploaded if further details needed but they've told her the summary of the contents! Go on give a call! 🤣 xx

If there's no money in my account by Weds am (I'm in the office tomorrow, so can't ring), I'll call! Maybe. 😬

I'm such a chicken (you'd never guess I'm a hard ass litigation solicitor for work!). 🤣

mamof3darlings · 02/09/2024 10:47

I think it's the wait that makes it worse. MR's are taking 25 weeks... if it wasn't so painful even 8 weeks total wait then it would be less to dread!
