My DD is 10. She is awaiting an assessment for ASD. I have the backing from her school and GP.
Her biological Dad (we've been divorced for 8 years) who she sees occasionally doesn't seem to grasp that she's ND just that she mugs him off and is naughty.
I have tried to explain what I have learnt about ASD to him and shared my research but he refuses to believe she thinks/does things differently and says it's irritating him.
Please can anyone recommend a book ADHD for beginners or something along them lines so I can shove it under his nose to make him understand!!

Unfortunately I think it's unlikely he would bother to read it. Does your DD still want to see him? At this age a child's wishes will be taken into consideration so if she wants to see him less, she can.

I doubt ex will listen, but if you want to give him information, I would start with the National Autistic Society’s website for ASD and ADDitude’s website for ADHD.

If DD is diagnosed with ASD, if ex would attend, you could look at a Teen Life or Cygnet course.
