Not sure I've posted in the right place!!! After 8 months of waiting my 3 year olds SALT and 'Neurodisability' appointment have come through!

It says on the SALT letter - "Please note this appointment has been arranged as part of the Autism Diagnostic Assessment".

So any insight! Her salt appointment is about a week before the neurodisability appointment.
She is verbal, but uses immediate/delayed echolalia and talks in the 3rd person.
She's under ophthalmology due to her eye stimming that she does.
She doesn't go to nursery so no input from them.

What will happen at these appointments? Does anybody know who can help? Would I expect a diagnosis on the day or what? This has took months I'm so nervous 😬

Thanks so much!!!

Ps. Ophthalmology have put her eyes down to sensory issues and no other health concerns with them to cause the stimming!! So I'm hoping this backs up her diagnosis too!

The process varies depending on where you live. Some have a long appointment and give a diagnosis the same day. Others don’t. Some have multiple appointments.
