Applied 03/23 , Band C , Eligible for Medical reasons for the banding going up . Thought I'll make a thread for others that r waiting too. We sent evidence in Jan 24 and are still waiting for assessment. Is anyone else waiting too ? If so how long has it been ?

I've been bidding since July 2022 in band A medical grounds.
It took a year for them to assess our needs before I could bid.
No idea when we will get a place that is suited to ds needs.

What evidence did you send? As I have asked for a medical assessment but not sure what evidence to send to them

DamitJamit · 12/07/2024 11:05

We've been in band c for nearly 2 years and have just submitted all the medical forms and evidence. I was told to chase them up in 2 weeks if I've not heard anything

@Accbabymom1994 I did think that tbh. The whole thing has been a nightmare. We currently live with family, so we share the bathroom and kitchen between what should be 2 households and we have no sitting room which with 2 SEN children is pretty horrific not having any space. Currently just feels like I'm waiting for everything that could help them

It's so hard, we're all on top of each other. The children can't have anything to help them as there's no space and there no where for them to go when they need some time to calm down. Sometimes the whole thing could make me cry

I just wanted to update that our assesment has been done and we've been moved up a band. Still going to be a long wait but not as long

We gave them everything on 17th June. No band B as its not an emergency. They did award us an extra bedroom which we would have been entitled to in a few weeks as expecting 3rd baby.

So happy for you . Ours is taking ages. Could you update me if there is any difference in the houses they offer or if your que position is better .

We will now be able to bid on 3 bed instead of 2 which although we need the 3 bedrooms it does unfortunately mean less properties will be available to bid on. We were about 80/90 in the queue for a 2 bed so as soon as we get the change to bid I will let you know where we fall now. I hope yours comes back soon for you!
