Child private ADHD assessment recommendations

Can anyone recommend a place to get a private assessment for ADHD done? we live in Hampshire.

I'm pretty sure my DD (7) has ADHD but school and GP won't refer as we are currently waiting on getting a hearing aid (have been waiting years for the diagnosis and now been waiting months for the clinic to open to get it) DD also masks very well at school (she did for the hearing issue, we caught it, school didn't) and she does very well academically/physically in school.

Look up who your local lead CAMHS child and adolescent psychiatrists are within the NHS, and then search for their private practice. Some will almost certainly have such a practice in your local private hospitals, or even just a private clinic on their own.

Your GP will struggle to say they won't take on shared care with one of the people they send NHS referrals. Make sure you ask their view on shared care (this is in case the diagnosis is made, and you need meds, of course, so just in theory) in advance - specify that this is so you can discuss it with the psychiatrist at the consultation. Be calm, polite and direct. Will they accept a private diagnosis, and any private prescription should that follow, from Dr X?

We have our meds and checks on the NHS doing this. In fairness to the GP, some private clinics (especially online) are apparently dubious, and the meds are highly controlled, so it may well be justified caution. But that's the safest route, in terms of NHS accepting the diagnosis, and taking over any medication if necessary, later.
