Hi, just wondering if anyone has applied (and been successful) to their local council for a grant to do necessary works on a private home? My son has recently been awarded DLA but has no diagnosis. He has both ASD and ADHD traits and we are currently waiting for an appointment with the ed Psych at school. He has a trauma background which can present similarly to ASD. Our house only has a downstairs shower room, no toilet upstairs. He has a 'wee bucket ' in his room as he refuses to go downstairs during the night or if he's playing. Until he got this he used to wee on his bedroom floor regularly. He also refuses to shower, he hates water on his face and will have violent meltdowns every time I manage to get him in there. What we would like is to turn the smallest bedroom into a family bathroom, with bath. Shower downstairs has to stay as my elderly mother can't use a bath. Has anyone any experience of similar? Thanks
