Hi all,

looking for some reassurance / success stories here please….

my son is 2.5 and he started regressing in his speech about 6 months ago…he now only says a few words (previously atleast 20-30 words)

he does make eye contact, eats well, is affectionate, no meltdowns. However I have noticed he tippy toes every now and then and also
does some regular hand clapping.

I believe he is on the spectrum and am
awaiting appt from a referral for autism assessment and Speech and language therapist appt.

I have recently been looking back at videos and he communicated So well and it’s quite literally breaking my heart seeing this downward spiral…

has anyone’s dc had a similar experience with loss of speech which then came back after ?
