It's the West Midlands massive on here! 🤣

Haha. Just seen all your messages now girlies!! I’m from Bham too X

Kmcx93 · 06/05/2024 04:34

Gosh there are quite a few of us in and around west midlands then!

I forgot to say in my post. So recap- i’m a COC sent 15/04- scan date 16/04.
But what I thought odd was the lady I spoke to said that although it had been scanned on, it hadn’t been registered?
she said what happens is your form and evidence is scanned on and then straight after you should be registered or assigned to a set decision maker.

I thought that all of your paperwork was scanned on and then at a later date you were allocated to a decision maker.

Has anyone else been told this before? If not and you’ve been told different, what was the process? Interested to hear actually 🤔

The last I was told was it gets sent to the decision maker at or around 15 weeks and then can take anywhere between a day and 2 weeks to make a decision (if they have all the evidence they need- can take longer if they decide they want more information).

The information seems to change every time someone calls though.. but it does seem to be taking around 15-18 weeks judging by the majority xx

Did you have special circumstances / financial difficulties etc though? As that’s very quick otherwise! xx

Tracy37x · 06/05/2024 12:23

I’m 26/01 and getting very anxious for the next week or 2. To date I’ve only had 2 letters, no texts. I’m really praying it’s not a decline, I feel like all I do is just an uphill battle 😩 see what tomorrow brings… new week for us all 🙏

Fingers crossed for you. I’m 23/01.. I’m hoping for answers this week- but I think there’s still a few from around the 19th that haven’t had answers yet.. so preparing myself for next week. I get exactly what you mean though.. I’m automatically just thinking the worst and over thinking it all. Good luck and hopefully it’s not much longer- the wait is horrible isn’t it. xx

Fluffs95 · 06/05/2024 12:39

I’ve also only had letters, never a text..

Some people only get letters, I’ve had one letter and one text, scan date 19.01. My anxiety is sky high so I completely get it!! Let’s hope it’s good news this week🤞🏼🤞🏼

Yeah, it’s horrible! The closer it gets the more nervous I get. I’m really hoping for positive outcomes for us all for our children. The latest date I’ve seen for normal timings is 19/1. Here’s hoping for lots of awards this coming week! X

It’s awful isn’t it! Worrying solves nothing… but I’m honestly such a worrier. Fingers crossed for us all 🤞 x

NoWordForFluffy · 06/05/2024 13:04

I didn't get any texts when I applied (successfully) for my son, so I'm not expecting any this time either. One week in today! Long time to go. 😩

Absolutely! But yes you try so hard not to worry about it but then it becomes your life constantly checking your bank and post and all sorts, we just want what our children deserve hey x

It’s crazy how it differs for everyone! But does make me feel like I need to keep calling, as I don’t think I’ll get a text! Got to call again this week anyway to check they have received some extra evidence, it’s typical- lots of reports and reviews recently- so feel like I’m constantly sending it extra evidence to make sure they have everything possible! Realistically I think I sent in enough the first time round, but then my anxiety kicks in and with each new report- I end up sending that in too! 🫣 good luck - fingers crossed you get an answer tomorrow! xx

Yes I don’t think I’ve seen later than the 19th either.. we’re nearly there though. I’m exactly the same - managed to put it to the back of my mind for the first 12/13 weeks or so!! And then the last week or two my anxiety is at an all time high with it. Xx

Yeah it is, I know someone who just got texts, no letters. I didn’t even get a confirmation letter when they got my forms, I only knew because they had to ring me to confirm something on the form. Whilst you’re on the phone, chuck in a question about an update😉 and I’m the same, lots of reports etc but keeping them incase I need to do a MR. Anxiety is crazy! Thank you lovely xx

Lisax08 · 06/05/2024 15:29

Dolly2014 · 06/05/2024 16:51

Hello everyone!! I’m new to this group but been reading your posts for weeks. Scan date 20/3! Long wait yet!! Seen a lot of awards on Facebook for February x

BlueyMama · 06/05/2024 16:59

Hi, I have a random question, I've seen it mentioned a few times previously but I'm not certain, so I've had 2 letters since scan date 8/2 I've noticed her ref number on the letter looks like a NINO AA123456X - is it actually her NINO number? She's 3yrs old.
Also is anyone from or near the North East?🙃

Jodess · 06/05/2024 17:30

Hey, I’ve heard carers allowance only backdate 3 months worth, is this true, or do they backdate from when/if your child gets awarded? So confusing!

Myadaggon · 06/05/2024 17:36

Parking date 19/01 🚗

The wait is excruciating.
