DLA Wait Time Chat

Defo sounds positive for sure!!❤️❤️ but I get that feeling, the process really makes you realise the how different and difficult life is for our little ones.
hopefully you receive a text confirming a decision this evening x

I got a missed call while I was on hold to DLA. I googled the phone number and turned out it was DWP. They left a voicemail and I was very curious so I hung up and listened. Turned out it was DLA trying to get in touch so I called DLA just to be told (by 3 people, I wanted to be sure) that it was most likely a scam call 😭 and they are not assigning any cases to dm until they reach the 15 week mark

I hope so… no text so far but she did say we would get a letter and it would be most likely the high rates. I haven’t even eaten all day I am so anxious.

Usually if scam when you google it will say scam etc 🤔

My call was a 0300 number and when I called back it was a DWP prerecorded message saying they had called me.

I just called again to see if they’d received the extra evidence I sent 2 weeks ago, they haven’t yet 😩

@ToddlerMumma21 Ring Monday and ask to be passed to someone that can tell you the award. Its not burying your head in sand. We as parents find it hard that our perfect babies have to struggle more than others in life. The fact they have listened is a bonus x

There was no message but she did say the decision would be made today. Will have to wait for Royal ‘snail’ Mail to deliver the letter one day. Or maybe I will call Monday to confirm.
We had the same scan date so I bet yours will be looked at very soon. Good luck everyone!
@ToddlerMumma21 my son is 12 and even though he has been diagnosed for nearly a decade, this CoC has also made me feel that way. It definitely feels bittersweet having other people acknowledge their disability 🥺

@Chickapea77 glad your wait is over it sounds very positive for you I'm coc also scan date 19/01 hopefully I'll hear soon but I'm ni so not sure if they working on same date

Yes sorry got a bit confused earlier. I'm so glad on your award u think you're the 1st 04/01 date that I have seen being awarded.

Yes! I was worried they were prioritising new claims but it seems they are looked at in the same timeframe. You will probably find out really soon. Good luck!

I got a payment in my account looks like LRM. My scan date was 4th Jan for CoC. Tried calling got cut off after 45 mins. Was pushing for HRM and ready to send more information but feel like decision already made. May appeal

I submitted cov scanned on 8/1. My son turned 3 in January so was filling in the form sent regarding mobility. No idea what outcome will be!

My son turned 5yo in February so this small payment looks like backdated LRM . My letterbox post is so slow would be quicker calling to ask the decision. Tempted to appeal if low as I do believe he should be eligible under SMI rules as has a permanent brain injury. But not sure I have the fight ...😣
