I rang just then scan date 28/12 a decision was made Monday but call handler was unable to tell me what it was and that I would receive a letter within 7-10 days. I’m sure someone asked this before I didn’t know whether it meant anything but before when I rang and it hadn’t gone to a DM I wasn’t asked to confirm my bank and last 4 digits on account… nothing pending as with Monzo I’ll do a MR if need be… hopefully they’ll be on to you January lot before long xx

I've just rang. Ours has gone to a case manager but they cant say if it's open or in there wait pile for date order, but shouldn't be much longer

Did you just write on your journal or did you go throught the CoC bit to update there your child is receiving DLA?

Mine was rejected I’ve asked for a MR I did think we didn’t have enough evidence but so frustrating waiting 16 weeks for a NO! 😭 xx

Sorry to hear that sweet, make sure you put in for MR tho don’t let them fob you off. what was your scan date?

This makes me question did you ring the long or short way? Seen this before, the short way they only have access to so much information. I'd ring back using the 523 option if I was you hun. Xx

@Emmajm85 @Fee89 @kristie198 i got through to child benefit was a lovely lady. We were about to start my application over the phone but she managed to find my details. She said unfortunately my application has been flagged as not to be processed automatically 😞 she said it has to be done manually which takes a lot longer than the 14 days a normal application does! She said about 95% of applications go through automatically and about 5% are randomly picked to do manually. And it just had to be my application !!😞

Phoned today scan date 29/12 been told its with a case manager hopefully not long now

@CoralSheep my son was diagnosed with ASD when he was 3 and awarded DLA, it’s been a struggle from day one for us. Puberty brings new challenges and lockdowns did set him back so much and at the worst possible time. Fought to get him a statement to guarantee the right secondary placement but the LEA totally manipulated and gaslit me to put him in an unsuitable school.
He was excluded on day 2 and I had to get him on his first day back because he gave himself a concussion already at 9am. Refused to send him again unless they guaranteed his safety but he virtually spent the school year at home (only going 1hr a day). How I survived, I don’t know!

Through all this, it never occurred to me that with his severe needs he should be receiving more help until his new teacher questioned why we didn’t have a blue badge and looked so surprised my son was not on high rates. She wasn’t judging or anything but I still feel like I haven’t fought hard enough.
