Toddler aggression

My 2.5 year old is extremely aggressive and it's really starting to wear us down as a family. He's rough with us, his sister, the dog, other kids and it's just a nightmare. It used to be hair pulling but has now changed to hitting and pushing. I understand he's young but I also have numerous friends with little boys his age and non are like this. People say it's his age, because he's a boy etc but there's something more to it I think. Has anyone had this before?
His language is ok, he has plenty of words but just doesn't seem to use them in the right circumstances and would rather lash out first Confused we can't work it out. Even nursery are perplexed by it. Please any ideas?

Hi @c307 I've answered in your other thread but you didn't mention that you were worried about SN on there.

Did you manage to do the SLT progress checker, what was the result?

If you do have concerns I'd fill in the 30 month Ages & Stages and the 30 month Social & Emotional Ages & Stages and see how he scores.

Hey, yes I've posted in both as I'm starting to worry it could be SEN based as it started around 18 months so it's been going on for a year now. Some days are much worse than others but it's not gone away. I did the checker and it says he could need some support with listening & attention and social communication.

Ok so now is a good time to ask the HV for a referral for a hearing test to rule out Glue Ear and a referral to SLT.

Did you manage to fill in the Ages & Stages?
