Scan date was 7/12,
I've just seen a post on FB from someone with a new claim January and they've just been awarded after 13 weeks 😳

I saw that one too I don’t understand why they’re not done in date order it would stop a lot of phone calls

100%!
The people on the phones need to not tell porkies pies aswell,
All last week I was told with a dm,
Yesterday a man told me it wasn't and wouldn't be for a while, so I immediately re-dialled after speaking to him, got through to someone different and they said we'd been awarded on the 30th 🤦‍♀️

The lies they tell are ridiculous we’ve apparently been with a dm for over a month, twice I’ve been told a decisions been made when it hasn’t. Spoken to a team leader who said it was never with a dm called Tuesday they said was with a dm I don’t know my arse from my elbow at the minute after speaking to them 😂

Sorry not really wait time related as my wait is finally over but I just thought how strange the whole process is. My middle child gets MRC and LRM , he has a diagnosis and needs more help than my other child who recently just got awarded HRC and LRM… I’m not complaining and filled both forms out with accurate info, my other child on HRC doesn’t even have an official diagnosis ! Just think it’s so strange and must be subjective as to who reads your form!!?

HRC relates to night-time needs (in addition to day-time needs), so to award that, they need significant care throughout both the day and night. MRC is care throughout the day, with little needed at night. (I think HRC is needing care most nights, so eg 5 out of 7).

My DC was awarded MRC as although her day time needs are fairly significant, she probably only needs care 2 out of 7 nights (apart from the last week 🤔 Let's hope it's not the start of a new pattern)

Does that follow for you? Does your child who received HRC need more care at night than the other?

CornishMama2 · 04/04/2024 13:24

18/12
OK I caved and rang, got straight through, apparently still with a DM, no outcome yet.
I did however, have to get through three sets of security questions- the first lot of which were before She took the reference number 😂😂😂 Think someone needs a break 💁

Edited

Ahh his needs are a lot worse at night so maybe that’s why he got HRC - also he is older so I’m assuming the extra care he needs is even more than someone his age usually needs

You have to go to report a change, then add the disabled element to your child's details,
Then report yourself as caring for someone,
Then afterwards I popped a note in the journal to say I'd made the changes, and to request backpayment to the date award started, I've had no response though so I've no idea how long it all takes,
Then I had to accept the new commitments,
Hope that helps x

Hi everyone, I’ve just missed a call from a no caller id but no voicemail was left, has anybody else been called from a no caller id or missed a call from the dla? Not sure what to do

Last time I was waiting for a decision I had a withheld number call so I called dla and I had been awarded

Bossofthehouse · 04/04/2024 13:43

This may come through alittle blurry, but this is to claim UC

Did they not leave a voicemail or text either? I’m unsure whether to call because it’s only been 14 weeks today and don’t even know if it was them

Motherofoneboy · 04/04/2024 13:54

Hi all,

I am new to this, I sent my son's dla form on the 11/03 and today I called to find out if they have received the application as I didn't receive any text or letter.

The lady said they have received my son's application and scan date is 22/03.
Has anyone scan date take that long after sending the forms?

HG95 · 04/04/2024 13:57

Got through on 523 Elizabeth was very helpful said there’s definitely a note on there to text me when a decision is made told me to call back soon as I get that to see what rate we are and we should have a decision before the end of the week. There are no notes that the dm wants anything else to hopefully this journey will be over and done with by tomorrow

Mummyto5beautys · 04/04/2024 13:58

Brill thank you managed to update it x

No voicemail or text, I knew it was with a DM the day before I had the withheld call so that’s why I chanced it and called

Hope you all get a Decision soon🤞🏻

I've just started so long waiting looking at everyone's messages 😩

1slamkh · 04/04/2024 15:26

My dd scan date is 20/02 and it’s already with a DM. It has been since 21/02 … soooo, they’ve said, hopefully not much longer now as they are working through their end of Jan workload.
