Hi, does anyone know how likely it is to be offered an expedited SEND tribunal? How expedited is expedited also?!
i think the wait for usual tribunal is a year now?

How likely an expedited hearing is agreed depends on the circumstances. For example, is it a phase transfer appeal, is DC out of full time school, is DC at risk of PEX? How expedited also depends. It could be somewhere between 4-8 months. It will still be months wait but not a year.

Thanks so much for being so generous with your time @Headfirstintothewild . She’s been out of school for 6 months, supposed to be going into GCSE years. Months is better than a year. Hope we won’t lose her offer of a place at specialist indie in the meantime

You have to seek the LA’s view, you don’t necessarily need them to agree. SENDIST may well still agree to expedite the hearing even if the LA objects.
