6 year old with GDD started biting in school - HELP

My son 6 year old has just started biting other children in school.

We have a diagnosis of GDD, speech and language delay, a genetic condition etc.
It's a mainstream school and 7 times of of 10 there is a major trigger, it can be as small as other child has a toy and not sharing on demand. Full 121 support is already in place.

I'm devastated, for my child and for the other children being bitten. It's hard enough to foster friendships never mind with the biting element.

Biting happens at home too and most of the time when frustrations are high but sometimes it's just a random bite during a cuddle. My older child has a huge bite mark on the stomach 😭.

What strategies help, what can the school do, what professionals can we beg to come and help in school?

Thank you

Has DS had a sensory OT assessment and is there ongoing OT in the EHCP?

Is the 1:1 at school actually providing 1:1 or are they being used to support others?

As difficult as it is, spotting the triggers and trying to deescalate beforehand will help.
