Does DS take any medication to help with sleep? Is he under any professionals?

Does DS have an EHCP? The schools reduced timetables sounds like unlawful, informal exclusions. Part time timetables should not be used to manage behaviour. If DS can’t attend school full-time the LA should be providing alternative provision instead of or as well as part time school. Email the Director of Children’s Services requesting provision. Alternatively, if you want DS to attend school full-time email the HT informing them you will only be collecting DS early if he is formally suspended.

Go back to the GP and request a referral to CAMHS or paeds or a sleep clinic.

When you called social care have the children with disabilities team carried out an assessment? And have you had a carer’s assessment? If the answer to either of these is no, request them - Contact has model letters you can use on their website.

Do you mean the school helped you appeal the EHCP refusal? Was it refusal to assess or refusal to issue? When did you submit to SENDIST? Have you requested an expedited hearing both because DS is out of full time education and also because he is a phase transfer year?
