Has anyone’s child scored low or zero on MCHAT before 24 months and then ended up with ASD diagnosis (obviously with regression not being the cause)

We scored one - which was wondering if child was deaf and that was because of her speech delay.
its a really broad and blunt tool to use.

Is your LO diagnosed with ASD and if so what signs were they showing if hey passed the MCHAT ? Did they also pass the ASQ SE? Thank you

My ds scored low risk on the MCHAT and was diagnosed as autistic just before he turned 4. With regards to the ASQ S&E questionnaire he scored just below what the HV said was the cut-off but (as I discovered) over the actual published threshold - it’s an American document.

Ds has become more obviously autistic as he’s got older.
