DLA forms - no confirmation text or letter?

love some advice to ease my worries.
On the 6th January 2024 I sent off my sons DLA form.
Up until now I haven’t received anything. I read online that you are supposed to receive an conformation message or letter.

could there just be a delay cause of the backlog? Has anyone else not received confirmation but been awarded?

I’ve tried to call to check but I can never get through.

I would call. Letters are going astray and not all receive a text, but it is wise to check because sometimes forms are lost.

I didn’t get a confirmation letter or text and it turned out mine had gone missing. Thankfully because I had sent it special delivery they were able to find it and process the application.

You should get a confirmation letter but there may be delays. I would call them to check anyway.
