Speech delay, is this now typical development?

28 months. Glue ear identified but good hearing test in September. Been worried about autism too (waiting to be seen after lots of pestering of HV who was quite reluctant )

Things she’s doing now;
Pointing
immediate imitation with objects/toys and more recently copying in songs etc
a few times she’s copied some sounds eeee aaaaa
shes saying uh for up, eee for tree
waving etc
better understanding / if I say drink she’ll go get it, if I say give she’s passing me things.
she helps getting dressed arm up etc.

she’s not showing understanding of anything else other than toothbrush, drink, shoes, milk at moment. So if I said where’s the cat on a simple book with say two images she wouldn’t indicate it (I tend not to do this much as aware it’s not helpful to ask many questions!)

we are in private speech once a month. But I didn’t think to ask. But someone else said this now seems like she’s heading in the right direction, just delayed?

any other experiences? Or advice!
