Hi, has anyone got an IDP for their child? We're in Wales so no Ehcp but it's a similar document. I have a meeting with the ALNCo on Fri and unsure what I need to insist on having in it. My child is adopted and has suffered trauma in the past, which can can present itself in similar ways to autism and ADHD.When arranging the meeting, the ALNCo said it'll only be a short meeting to discuss his targets but everything I've read online says that it should include his needs and how the school will meet the needs. I'd be grateful for any tips / suggestions for things to say. Thanks.

The IDP should include needs, provision and outcomes. Precisely what is included depends on DC’s needs. This page on SNAP Cymru’s website covers what should be included in an IDP.

How did your meeting go Nel81? We have a meeting tomorrow with the school for an IDP for my youngest DS age 6. He has maybe similar issues - there's a history of ADHD in my family but I don't know if DS has ADHD himself - I think it's too early to know. School seem to have decided he has autism - I disagree. He has a history of some attachment trauma due to me going into hospital when he was 2. What kind of things ended up in your IDP? - thanks
