Child Disability Payment

Hi all. I know there is a thread about ADP but I don't want to hijack it.

I applied on 20th November for my 7yo and haven't heard anything yet. I'm just wondering if the wait times are the same as the adult payments?

Also this is about the Scottish payment and not DLA.

We applied on 22nd Feb last year and got our first payment in May.
Keep an eye on your banking as the money might hit your account before the letter comes through.

Did you have to wait on a diagnosis? We've been on waiting list for that for 2 years but I was told I didn't have to wait. She's also had a child physiologist observe her at school etc which I put on it as well.

We did have a diagnosis but you don’t need one to be successful. The decision is made based on the extra care needs of your child, not on medical test results etc
