Moving - is it worth it?

I have 3 girls with varying SEN. They are 8,7 and 3. We are well known to our local authority and have EHCPs and an EOTAS package in place for my eldest who is autistic.

We live in London and are thinking of moving to Surrey/Hampshire to have more space and a garden.

Can anyone tell me what the SEN support like in those two local authorities? My biggest nightmare is moving somewhere where we can’t find the support we’ve found here in Wandsworth.

Am I mad thinking a bit of space will make that much difference…? Will it be worth it??

Be aware if you move LA the new LA will review the EHCPs and potentially amend (especially DD’s EHCP with EOTAS - quite a few with EOTAS in both LAs, both large overall personal budget spenders, but both can be hard work and many have to appeal to get a good EOTAS package), reassess or even cease to maintain. However unlikely you think it is, you need to be aware it is a possibility. Although you would be able to appeal.
