Insurance question

My DS2 has today smashed our glass hob out of frustration. It was an accident after being mad with a sibling, and after a very stressful week with a death and close family in hospital.
Just wondering if the insurance company would see as accidental damage, which it was for certain.
He has an EHCP and struggles with sensory processing and similar.
It's been one rough week!

Oh no. It is worth a try, I think.

I’m sorry to hear someone close to you has died.

Just say a pan was dropped on it

Fraud will not help matters!

if you tell the insurance company what happened it will be classed as an accident. I work in insurance this would be covered. It was an accident. We have covered claims where children have left taps running deliberately

So then no need lie and say a pan was dropped on it. Lying won’t help matters and, if caught out, could make OP’s life more difficult.

Ok
