Hello everyone, I hope ok posting in the right place.

I have a 7 year old son who is not enjoying school at all at the moment and struggling with the work but he is specifically say it's the maths and English he is struggling with. He loves PE or art but not the 'academic stuff'.

His handwriting isn't great and hasn't been for the last year or more, he struggles with spelling and get the letters in the right order, he is very forgetful and struggles with maths too.
Does this sound like it could be dyslexia and where do I need to go to find out about getting him help?

TIA X

Have you spoken to DS’s teacher and SENCO? It could be dyslexia, but there are other possibilities too.

@KeepGoingThomas hello, sorry its taken so long to reply. I had a meeting with the Sendco last week and she has said that she is doing well in school but has noticed traits of anxiety. So im not sure where I go from here. I have another review with the Sendco in a couple of months to discuss further. What other possibilities could it be?

You should start with what support is the school putting in place.

There are a lot of other possibilities e.g. things like autism, DCD, ADHD, processing difficulties…
