Dla- cleft palate and other issues

Has anyone been successful applying for DLA for a child who has cleft palate? In addition to this, my 6 month old son also has reflux, milk protein allergy, eczema, other potential food allergies. He has been referred to a dietician and for allergy testing. He is due an operation between 8-12 months. I have already sent my application with lots of evidence of his care needs throughout the day and night which I feel are much more compared to a child with none of these conditions. I’d just like to know other parents’ experiencing of claiming for a child with CP? If successful, which rate was awarded and for how long?
Many thanks x

Not my DC, but I have supported others with DLA a cleft palate. All were awarded at least MRC (can’t remember the length of the awards, and it can depend on whose desk it lands on). Although all also had other needs as well.

Thanks for this. I also posted this on a cleft palate support group on FB and it varies so much! I’m sending some more evidence in today as my claim will probably be looked at around March time anyway as my docs were scanned on 3rd November and apparently everything is taking around 20 weeks but prob will be longer because of Christmas and New Year holidays coming up. Putting in at the back of my mind for now.
