Hi all, just after some advice as wasn’t sure if I needed to be doing more as a parent.
My son hasn’t been diagnosed with any SN but we have an issue that seems to be getting worse. I don’t know if i’m doing more harm than good in trying the ‘tough love’ when actually could this be signs of something else going on?
He absolutely HATES any type of new clothes. If i tell him i’ve bought him new clothes he goes into a panic and his only explanation is they don’t fit properly.
DS hates trousers, he won’t wear anything other than tracksuit bottoms and if they are too big, or small (in his eyes) he has a ‘meltdown’. Interestingly, I could put him in his favourite pair of tracksuit bottoms that are way too tight and short yet he seems happy with that?
He also hates long sleeved tops and anything restricting like coats or hoodies.
He has no issues with textures really or labels?
Sorry if this is a really insignificant issue, i just didn’t want to ignore it if it’s potentially harming him in the long run.
