read a few times recently about parents having to 'fight' when it comes to having a statement.

How come? We just got told Ellie would have a statement done and that was that.

Is it to do with different area's or a certain childs needs?

Hope I dont sound ignorant. Just interested.

I just wondered how some parents have a fight on their hands?

I have had too fight for quite a while now. What with him being part time to start of with. Then one to one support then in the past month the issue has arisen and being started with regards to my sons statementing. On top of all this he has epilepsy and has a fit every fortnight which also disrupts his schooling so u can see I am going crazy. My other son who is 17 months is ok at the moment. But I am dreading the next couple of years. I hope it won't happen all over again. Oh well. Xmas is around the corner.
