My son has autism. He's in year 4 working at year 1 level he's in main stream . He's very happy socially has friends that he has had since 3 years old .

I know I don't need to do anything till year 5. But. I just wanted to check other peoples experience.

2 of my children went to sedgehill. Its known as a rubbish school. But both my children have done well and have been happy there . So that school is my 1st thought for my son. But I don't know what their SEN department is like. So if anyone knows about their sen department that would be great. Also any feed back in other maim stream schools in the Lewisham Borough.

I know nothing at all about special needs schools. I'm a little worried could he kind of go backwards socially? I know it doubts odd but I'm worried he won't cope in a special needs school. Sorry I don't know how to explain it.

He has a brother who's 1 year younger who does not have SEN. They are so close. They are in each others pockets . A whole sofa and they sit so close they are touching. I know they will be separated for a year. But I would love for them to be at the same school if possible.
