Can anyone recommend a SEN school in north London for a non verbal 6 year old. Autism school preferred I think

Depending on where you live and DS’s needs you could look at Gesher.

Depending on which side of the borough you are, Kisharon could be worth looking at. Small, friendly school which takes children with a wide variety of complex needs.

Thank you . Will see where is. More Muswell Hill

Also, Northway might be a bit too far, but it specialises in children with autism and now goes all the way through to sixth form.

Quite a few Muswell Hill kids at Kisharon, and he’d get transport.

Thank you . I will take a look . So hard to find somewhere that people recommend

I think you really have to visit and get a feel for a school. However much another parent recommends somewhere, it may not feel right for your child.

Eg, there’s a special school quite close to us that one mum was really happy with but I heard a complete horror story about from someone else!
