DS has undiagnosed ASD, is awaiting CAHMS assesment for potential diagnosis (2 yr wait).
Chosen secondary school has an autism support basis and has been named on his statement.
At statement review meeting today we learnt that he had not got a place in the autism support base, came down between him and someone else who got the place.
School SENCO thought he had a place 'in lieu', no idea what that means but LEA didn't and were reccomending 15hrs support a week which is clearly inadequate.
Can I appeal against the mysterious panel who didn't grant him a place?
I'll be appealing if current provision isn't increased but can i insist on a place?
