I got a catelouge through the post. posh littlewoods one. didn't want it so gave it to dd. she has had so much fun. picking stuff out for everyone.
(cheap birthday present idea)

When DS1 was about 18 months and going through a major shredding phase, we gave him old Next directories. Made to last, those things!

Ah bless her! What did she choose for you?
Ds (8) loves playmobil catalogues! I have escaped from toy shops many times with a happy child armed only with a catalogue!Keeps him busy in the car home if I'm lucky. Sadly hes grown out of the playing with boxes stage!

Reminded of an early Xmas with my tribe.

They left the toys and played with the boxes...

Could have saved myself a fortune!

Parents should never underestimate the usefulness for creative play of a set of cardboard boxes and a couple of old blankets
