Salary advice for autistic child

Posted in ‘childcare’ as well.

I am due to speak to a family local to me who have a 4 year old girl.
She is very autistic and needs constant supervision and management.

They want a few hours care for her each week, while they can do things with their NT son and maybe also some overnight care while they sleep as their daughter barely sleeps.

I am very experienced doing ad-hoc care for families, but the salary is often set by the agency I work for and isn’t flexible.

This is not an agency job.

What would you be willing to pay for this service per hour? I’m thinking maybe around £15-£18 per hour? It would be approx 3 hours at a time.

Is this as a PA? If so, £15-18 is more than many PAs would receive during daytime hours if they are funded by the LA. Many are paid the NLW. Although it depends on the needs of the child, some are paid £15-18 or even more.
