Looking for wisdom / advice / just generally how things have played out from parents of kids with PICA.

My 5 yo is eating so much non-food. As soon as we remove one thing from the environment he starts another.

A non-exhaustive list of things he has eaten:

  • gravel (removed)
  • lavender bushes (removed)
  • dried leaves
  • twigs
  • plastic
  • clementine peel
  • Tumble drier lint (locked away)
  • strips of wood he’s chewed off toys eg jenga blocks (removed)
  • paper / cardboard / paper straws
  • pencils (removed)
  • wall paper he’s torn off the wall.

He’s already chipped two teeth, baby teeth - thankfully. His nappies have been terrible and I’m just a bit worried about it all.
