Autism assessment tomorrow

Hi

My son, almost 4 years, has his autism assessment tomorrow. We've been waiting nearly 2 years.

Could anyone give me an idea of what the appointment tomorrow will look like?

The process varies area to area.

It may be an initial fact finding appointment that will cover things like developmental history and current concerns etc. or it may be an ADOS assessment, or anything in between.

Do you know who the appointment is with and how long it is expected to last? Thst would give some clues as to what might happen, must as PP says, it varies by area. I did some heavy duty googling to find the webpage outlining the procedure in our area and it’s still pretty vague.
