no partty for dd

she'll be 4 on sunday and no-one is coming to see her so no party.
I know at 4 that maybe she wont be into parties but it feels like a snpashot ofher life. No friends cos she has cerebral palsy

I think you are worrying a little too much. Neither of my older two really had friends at 4. My older one, who is NT has only jsut really started asking about having parties and things at 7/8. She didnt have any close consistant friends until about 6. DS1 does have sn has a lot of accquaintences but no close friends. I think it is as much to do with his age as anything.

Once she starts school, maybe then you can start building up a network for her. It might take her a little longer, but I'm sure she will get there.

I wish i lived near you we would have come.
Is there a special person you could invite over. last year dd's teacher came for lunch.(all dd wanted)

she's at school. one mainstream and one SN. The mainstream ones never give her party invites either.
Probably hurts me more than its bothers her but one day she's gonna notice, she is bright.
I did ask a whole bunch of people to see if anyone would share her special day but no. My mum will send a card, the in-laws wont cos they still can't bear to admit she's related to them (I told you their reaction to the fact we thought she was going to die two weeks ago)
I'm also finding the 'anniversary' of that terrible day very hard. This time 4 years ago she was fine, not brain damaged.
And today it should be so different

. Agree with fio, speak to her school and see if they'll do something, even if it's just sending in a cake/chocolate.

Btw do you still want to meet up? Am a bit tied up this week but could prob do next week or after? email me [email protected] if you fancy it .

we are in London, so too far I think. I think they are all bxxxxx for not coming to her party. But all they really want at that age is a cake and sweets, so she'll be happy. Big hugs to you!

. I hope the SN school can help with this. This weekend is impossible, but I do at some point before summer want to get down to brizzle and meet up with you and peachy if possible.

Shame you're so far. Ds would love a party. His best friend at his SN school is a lad with CP. They love the fact that they both had their own PECs books!

What celebration ride?
We don't have a trailer for dd as she's too disabled to sit in one. Applying for money for a Duet wheelchair bike from Whizzkids. Only £4500
