Hi, I'm still waiting to receive our claim form following a phone call on the 14th of August. Is this normal? First claim. Thanks

I would call again.

i don’t know what going on with them either, everywhere says 3 month wait after applying, they received my claims on 25 may and now it’s 16 weeks, can’t get in touch on the phone as always rings out and can’t find an email address for them. It’s a nightmare!

It hasn’t been 3 months for a long time. It is because they are overwhelmed with the number of applications.

Mumofkidsx3 · 14/09/2023 09:13

They are still claiming it’s 3 months ! Do we know how long it is in reality then?

DWP aren’t still claiming it is 3 months, the information online just hasn’t been updated. It is taking anywhere from 15-16 weeks up to about 20 weeks, occasionally quickier, sometimes longer.

Mumofkidsx3 · 20/09/2023 15:26

wrong! email said up to 3 months, letter said 15 weeks. I’ve been waiting 18 weeks. They need to update all the information to “up to 4 months”

OvertakenByLego · 20/09/2023 15:38

I am not wrong. DWP aren’t still saying 3 months, otherwise they wouldn’t be telling people longer on the phone and the letters wouldn’t be saying longer than 3 months. You have said yourself you got a letter saying 15 weeks, which is more than 3 months. Besides it is irrelevant to the OP as she isn’t talking about the wait after the application has submitted (whether you have waited 16 or 18 weeks), she is talking about the wait for the form in the first place.

You are misquoting me I said before applying, but never mind. My Orginal comment on this thread was misplaced so yes please stop responding here.

I have not misquoted you!
