Does anyone know of any places to visit in the West Midlands? It needs to be for a seven year old with ASC but also symptoms of ADHD and no awareness of danger

http://www.cannocksnap.com/ - is fantastic, we can really relax when DS is there (also has zero danger awareness). Not a day out as such, but depending on how he manages in busy environments there’s an Outlet in Cannock with a great play park and splash pad. Bosworth is also very good, loads of different walking trails, really contained and there’s a little museum and cafe towards the end. You have Twycross Zoo and West Midlands safari park, there’s an additional needs horse riding place I think just outside of Lichfield. There’s a great little farm just outside of Tamworth with a giant inflatable bouncy pillow type thing. I’ll try to keep thinking.

Oh - and not quite what you asked, but I’d avoid visiting the parks in Lichfield if you’re thinking of a day trip there. Both have open water, which is lovely, but less so if you have a child with no danger awareness.

Thank you. Some of those ideas could be good. We go to SNAP sometimes which my DS loves, you never know I might even have seen you there

Beacon Park is lovely but there is the safety issue with open water I agree
