Dla and school

I had asked my DD’s teacher to fill out the statement for us. Basically got it back today and it was all in past tense saying she had extra tutoring. 1-1 sessions and had needed extra help in class and she even wrote about seeing an improvement with her physio (this is not the case as I’m having to drive her to school more than ever due to being tired and in pain). The school haven’t actually done her physio since beginning of the year as they said due to short staffed they werent able to continue so we have to do this at home 3 times a week as well as her OT activities. Literally she comes home and has meltdowns every day after school atm. The only thing that it does say is that she complains of her legs being tired after being very active and lists all of the aids that she has in school.

Is it even worth me adding this as evidence or shall I just leave the section blank? I don’t have anyone else other than family members who know my DD enough to write a statement.

It doesn’t sound amazing, but as it lists the extra support and aids DD has then unless you have other evidence of these it may be worth sending.

Thanks for the feedback @Relaxinghammock

She has annual reviews from her paediatrician for evidence that I was going to send in and she is about to undergo more assessments. I guess it would be worth waiting for the most recent review to come back before sending in the form.

If it lists additional needs I'd send it. I know it's haunting you that they have put 'seen improvement' but they still wrote she complains of tiredness which then reflects walking, school education etc. Improvement could be anything from 0.01% up to 100%, its vague and not enough to warrant not sending it.

I'd only ever not send evidence if it states 'no concerns at all' because then it's not contributing.

The section of someone who knows you can be filled by a family member.
