Am I crazy for contemplating a leaving party for my son and his friends at his mainstream school because he is moving to a SS?
My son has attended the school since Nursery and is coming to the end of year 2. It's been a long old battle but we've just been informed by the LA they have a place at a specialist school for him. While his mainstream school can't meet his needs, it's not because they haven't tried. They have been fab. The children in his class are amazing with him and really the sweetest.
I've been thinking of ways to mark this transition and say thank you to his class mates and farewell. Is a "party" totally inappropriate?
