I don't know if this has been discussed yet but what a cracking show.

I started watching it when my son was under one as I thought he was autistic (he may be) and really enjoyed it but then my son was actually diagnosed with a rare chromosome disorder and I watched again and the actors are brilliant, especially young Rosie.

They really do capture that raw pain, the happy moments, the humour, the frustration everything.

My sons only two so I don't think I've been through everything they have but when they flash back to the baby scenes, they feel like my own memories.

What's others thoughts on it?

I have watched all the series and it is so well written, the isolation and the constant battle for services really struck a chord with me I have felt like that a lot, it's the best thing I've seen on tv.

But its so sad. We do everything they do. Take stuff to a shop because there will be a meltdown if we can't find the exact thing we want to buy in the shop we bought the same thing in before. Decide to walk to the park. Give up. Decide to drive to the park. Get there. Refuse to get out the car. Decide we have done a trip to the park now and go home. Two speeds, not walking at all or sprinting. Trying to guess what they mean (the one two man episode). I am not sure I can watch it because it is just our life. It's sad.

It is really sad. It's a reality for lots of families and I'm glad it's bringing awareness to the daily struggles our families have and that's a good thing as I think sometimes people think we just pander to our kids for whatever reason they believe.

I'm sorry things are difficult and it's too hard to watch.

I'm still at the very beginning so a lot of the flash backs and memories in the show really resonate with me and with the way things are going I do think things will be very similar with my son and it's hard.

I've watched the new special this afternoon and had a good cry. Our childrens' challenges are different, but I can relate to so much that the parents are experiencing and feeling. Amazing show, but a hard watch.
