Training pants

I am toilet training my DS who’s six going on seven. Does anyone know where I can buy training pants in his size? He wears pull ups at the moment but he isn’t bothered about being unless he does a big wee.

Hey

Sorry I don't know any training pants. When I potty trained my asd son (non verbal then and still is), it was all or nothing. He went straight into pants. We set a date and just did it, the first 6 weeks were awful. We kept him at home 2 weeks (walks to the playground only). Told to go straight to the toilet (no potty).

It took a while and a lot of hard work (plus washing!). But we had him on a schedule initially and now he takes himself to the toilet. We still have to remind him sometimes. I did have help from ABA but it was definitely worth the money and time. Year later, he's 99% reliable for wees. Poos 70% of the time. Good at home, struggles to poo at school so tries to hold it.

Thanks, training pants beyond toddler years are impossible to find.

We always used Libero by Tena. We ordered them online and if you contact them they should be able to send a few samples out so you can work out what size is needed.

We've used Thirsties Potty Training Pants (more absorbent than normal training pants) and Kangacare Lil Learnerz (very absorbent but thicker than thirsties). They both do bigger sizes.
