CAMHS assessment

My 12 year old DD has her CAMHS assessment tomorrow morning. I'm nervous as no idea what to expect. Just after a hand hold I guess!

Hi just seen this, I hope it was ok. We’ve just been given an appointment date for my 10 year old daughter. I’m an anxious mess trying to collaborate all the notes I’ve got.

My DS (8) had his Wednesday after waiting and it was surprisingly ok! She asked a load of question that actually felt nice to talk through and have someone understand and possibly get some answers after so many years

They discharged her as she didn't meet the criteria for core CAMHS 😭

oh no! Did they diagnose or anything, provide advice etc or was it simply this is the wrong place for your DD? It's horrible being continuously let down by these people

Oh love I’m so sorry. Have you looked into appealing or something. There’s lots of support and advice on Facebook groups.

They just said she doesn't meet criteria but treat her as if she's autistic! WTF???
