Random intermittent pain

I'm at a bit of a loss on what to do about this after a trip to the doctors and searching the Web for answers so wanted to see if anyone on here could help.

My DD 13 ASD with severe communication disorder has been experiencing random episodes where she appears to be suddenly in pain over the last few weeks. She cries and screams and gets really agitated which is really unlike her. It eventually goes away on its own or more recently ive started to give her some painkillers and it seems to stop after 5min. She can go a few days inbetween any episodes.

She cannot communicate what is hurting and is otherwise well. In between these episodes she is happy and her usual self.

She's suffered a lot of gastric issues so I was concerned it was related and may be some kind of blockage.

I took her down the doctors last week where they examined her stomach but she seemed fine, had no pain. I've give her meds that's been prescribed for years to help her go to make sure she's not constipated. They also checked her ears in doctors and they were fine.

I have considered if it's a change in behaviour but she really seems to be in pain and upset. She has started periods last year so thought it may be stomach cramps when it was around that time but its been going on much longer.

I'm out of ideas, kept us up most of the night last night and at this point I'm considering taking her to a&e in the night when it's happening.

She can't communicate what is hurting her. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can try or what it could be please?

I would request a referral to paeds, a specialist hospital not district general even if that is closer.

Thank you for the reply Thomaswastortured, I've spoken to them today to get another referral to specialist sorted.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience with this intermittent pain as I know a lot of ASD children suffer with gut issues?
