Double buggy recommendations

Hi all. My son has autism and no real sense of danger. We go abroad a lot and have used a double buggy for him and his younger sibling.

It's been on too many a plane journey to use anymore as it's near falling apart.

The current double buggy will only support up to 15kg. He will be 4 soon and is heavier than this already.

I'm looking for a replacement - budget doesn't matter. Thank you!

The baby jogger city mini is one of the bigger doubles on the market.

Once DS has outgrown standard buggies there are SN buggies. At that point unless you expect to need a SN buggy for DC2 it is probably better to look for a single SN buggy and a single ordinary buggy. You could look at the Excel Elise, Maclaren Major, special tomato jogger. If you did want a SN double there are a few where you can get connectors to join SN buggies together e.g. Axiom Endeavour, Excel Elise, Special tomato.

@FloatingBean thank you SO much for this! Super helpful and exactly what I needed to know. Too much research fries my brain and I often find asking others to be much better for this reason.

If you go down the SN buggy route sometimes they can be gotten via wheelchair services. If not there are charities that can sometimes help fund them e.g. Newlife, Caudwell, Boparan Trust, Florence Nightingale Aid in Sickness Trust.

Make sure it's the city GT double the mini is only 15kg seats

The city mini and the city mini GT have a higher weight limit. It isn’t currently available but this is the Amazon listing to show the city mini has a weight limit of 22kg.

Any recommendations for buggy connectors? I have 2 SN buggies (an excel Elise and getting a DoBuggy) and trying to work out how best to connect them!

I don’t know whether they sell them separately or whether you can attach 2 different SN buggies but Freedom for Kids do SN buggy connectors.
